Product Types

Now Prepay offers a wide range of products via our API.

PINs

These include all the major Canadian mobile carriers such as Bell, Rogers, Telus.

These include all the major long distance products such as provided by Goldline, Bell, Phonetime etc.  Bell products include the Vox line of long distance products.  Goldline products include items such as the very popular CiCi , Good Call and many others.  

Online Payment Vouchers: These include: paysafecard, flexepin, ecoVoucher, Neosurf

RTR Topup

Several Canadian mobile products are also available as a Top Up (in addition to being available as a PIN).  Telus, Koodo and Public Mobile are available in a variable load Top Up format.

Now Prepay also offers dozens of Top Ups to carriers globally.  International products include a rate field to convert the load amount from $CAD to the local currency.

POSA Gift Cards

These are physical gift card products that can be activated via swipe or barcode scan. 

Cards can be closed or open loop. Open loop cards typically have an additional load fee. Examples include Visa, Mastercard and PayPower.  These cards have a consumer fee as well as the load value.

Cards may have a specific denomination attached to them (such  as $25) or they may be variable where the customer can choose the value to load on to the card (such as $10-$200). 

The gift card program requires pre-approval by Now Prepay and the card distribution partner.  Gift cards are approved on a per partner basis.  Card activation requires the barcode or magnetic strip to be read and sent for activation. POSA gift cards cannot be reversed or voided. 

eGift Cards

Many terms are used to describe digital or electronic gift cards including eGift Cards, eCodes, ecertificates, virtual gift cards, and more. No matter what you call them, they are certificates or cards issued to the recipient via email, or other electronic means.

StoreGUI's

Integration development can be categorized by StoreGUI's which define the user interface. Once you know which products you will offer, you can see which StoreGUI's and which API calls you will need to develop.

Each product has one of the following associated two letter StoreGUI settings:

EP - PIN voucher with Fixed Amount 

Traditional PIN transaction where the clerk selects the product and value.

TF - Topup a Phone Number using Fixed Amounts

After selecting the Topup product, the user enters the area code and phone number to topup and then picks from a list of fixed values. 

TV- Topup a Phone Number using Variable Amounts

After selecting the Topup product, the user enters the optional area code and phone number twice for confirmation. Then types a variable amount for the topup value.

PS- POSA Card Swipe with Single Fixed Amount

After selecting the POSA product, the user swipes or scans the card and the card will be activated with the single fixed amount.

PF- POSA Card Swipe with a list of Fixed Amounts

After selecting the POSA product, the user swipes or scans the card and then selects from a list of fixed amounts.

PV- POSA Card Swipe with Enter a Variable Amount

After selecting the POSA product, the user swipes or scans the card and then enters the amount to load.

EG- e-Gift Cards

Customers can choose to have a gift card delivered via email.
